Drawing inspiration from Pelle Vävare’s heritage, Linnéa Andersson’s pattern is a refined echo of the 60s and 70s. It’s a design that feels timeless yet distinctly modern. We sat down with Linnéa to further explore her vision for the collection.
Could you tell us about your design process and the inspiration behind the pattern?
I wanted to create a pattern linked to Pelle Vävare’s heritage, especially as we approach the milestone anniversary. I aimed to capture a hint of retro while remaining relevant today and in the future. The wave pattern is a deliberate choice, evoking thoughts of waves, water, and the sea, where I imagine these pieces naturally belong.
As an artist, who often works with textiles as your canvas, what was it like to collaborate with Pelle Vävare?
It felt honorable to work with such a distinguished brand. To me, Pelle Vävare represents sustainability – not just in terms of patterns but, above all, in quality. Designing for Pelle Vävare is like writing yourself into the history books. It’s a product that will take decades to wear out.
What are your hopes for the reception of the line?
This project has been such a joy from beginning to end, and I’m incredibly pleased with how it turned out. I feel like I’ve captured my vision of Pelle Vävvare and its journey ahead. I sincerely hope the collection will be embraced with the same affection I feel for the finished pieces – and that they will continue to bring that sense of joy for many decades to come.

As part of the collaboration and Pelle Vävare’s 60th anniversary celebration, we’re releasing a limited edition of bathrobes and towels featuring Linnéa Andersson’s unique pattern. The pieces will not be sold in stores or retailers but exclusively via pellevavare.com. The products will be launched on Monday, October 25th, at noon, while supplies last.
